About Tara
Tara grew up riding with her mom, Kim Ziegler and helping her with her training and sales business in Lincoln University, PA. She took her first horse, Carakat from an ottb 4 year old to Young Rider Championships twice. She took her next horse Buckingham Place from an ottb 6 year old to a 4 star horse, completing the Rolex Kentucky 5 star twice.
Over the past few years, Tara has started a family with her wonderful husband Cesar Contreras. They have two beautiful daughters and a brand new son. Lucia, 14, and Amelia, 11, Samuel, 4 and Hannah, 1! They have several Cane Corsos that they adore.
She continues to train and give lessons out of her parent's farm in Lincoln University, Straight Up Stables in Nottingham, PA, On the Bit in Oxford, PA, Arundel Hill in Northeast, MD, Worthmore Equestrian in Worton, MD, Thornfields in Darlington, MD as well as LG Equestrian in Port Deposit, MD and is happy to come to YOU.
Specializing in starting young horses in the sport of eventing, jump,ing dressage and giving them a solid foundation to excel in any discipline. But truly, Tara enjoys helping riders of all ages and abilities gain confidence in their riding to accomplish their unique goals, and matching horses to suitable riders and vice versa. She enjoys traveling to new places to ride and teach, and is always open for new opportunities!
